I added about a gal of of CAT ELC and all was well. I should also add that this summer when we moved and I was pulling a gooseneck stock trailer about 30 miles one way several times, it hit the 230 mark as well.

She added about a gal of water when she got to where she was going after it cooled down. I believe its in a black bottle, says extended life and cat ec-1 on the front. Zerex does make an extended life coolant.

Yesterday the wife was pulling a horse trailer running 70-75 and it got hot a couple of times, by hot I mean the ECT went to 230 and then back down. ZEREX G05, you can pick it up at any napa in the nation. I have changed the coolant filter several times and with the exception of one time, has always been fairly clean. My deltas are also anywhere from 5-20 differnece at times. LOL.only use rocket fuel for the wet compression test in a diesel. The reason I ask is I did my EGR delete and Oil Coller replacement last yr and on occasion the truck would get hot. Bonus points if you call him a retard to his face. Just look at him and explain that you paid a certain amount of money and want him to spell out the complete word. Please provide the spec from the book and what the engine is actually at instead of the technicians illiterate remarks of CHK OUT VEH. I noticed you did not get a pressure reading from the magnahelic gauge I asked for earlier using the 6.0 specific crankcase tool. If the tech looks at you funny when you mention cold fuel compensation. Disable cold fueling compensation to get more accuracy. The power balance should be done after an overnight cold soak. You do NOT do a wet compression test on a diesel. Its a relative compression test and should be followed up with a real compression test. Ran both batts down pretty quick yesterday trying to start it.Oh and it looked like my steam coming out under the degas bottle was coming from th CCV.? Love to hear Yalls input on this one. I figured there wouldnt be.Truck also seems like it is struggling to crank over.LKast time my HPOP went out it would fire over fast and easy.
OIL IN COOLANT FORD 6.0 SOFTWARE
Was going to change the oil this evening, then drive to the dealership (about 9 miles)and get it scanned to see wich injector(s) is bad, drive it home and replace it.Wouldnt go anywhere if I had the right software to scan it myself.
OIL IN COOLANT FORD 6.0 HOW TO
In this video, I will show you how to check the engine oil cooler on a VW along with many ot. Nothing like this though. So heres my question, will alot of fuel in oil make this thing cut out like a bad HPOP. There are a number of things that can cause oil in your coolant. Bad lack of power.Just got my motor back in a week or so ago.Studded/EGR delete. the nice BLUE smoke I started getting at around 1500 rpm. maybe brownish on the edges THIN syrup. Not the consistency of delo 400.Oh and I think I forgot. Not new oil Brown.Kind of a blackish greenish. wasnt milky.Pulled the oil filter, thats when I saw it. Couldnt really see anything wrong with the color. Also when it cut out on me at the store, I opened the oil cap and had the same kinda steam coming out. This morning I noticed the oil smelled kinda funny when I checked it. Heres what i came up with.Noticed some kind of steam coming out from UNDER the degas bottle while it was hot and running yesterday. At this point I started remembering everything that didnt seem right. I shut it off real quick and started looking. no power steering!!! OOOpps no power period. making the turn at the intersection at my road. About 15 min later i got it to crank, Halled butt towards the house. Little Red Flag goes up!!!! Wouldnt crank. Figured it was HPOP related cause I had a no start when it was hot half hour before.Got cranked and headed out towards the house.Stopped at the store for smokes.left it running!!!!! Walked out and it was not running, less than a minute in the store. Truck crapped out on me coming home last night, died in mid stride. Well, thought i had a typical HPOP failure.
